Exodus 1:8-10

Hey, everyone!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Exodus 1:8-10
Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people, “Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land.”

The king really had nothing to fear, but he had forgotten the history of these two nations. He did not remember, or perhaps had never learned, what God had done for Egypt in the past. When we forget God’s work in our history, it leads to fear for our future, which causes us to make unwise decisions in our present.

Father, help me to remember Your amazing works, and to choose to trust and follow You because You have always been faithful!

May the Lord bless you richly with His grace and joy!
